This beautifully shaped heart is made of opalite which is semi-translucent.

Opalite is the name given to man-made synthetic opalised glass and various opal simulated alternatives. It is also sometimes used to promote the more impure varieties of common opal.
It is a clear or milky iridescent material which is said to be useful in meditation to induce visions and to enhance psychic ability.
In healing, it is said to stabilise mood swings and to purify the blood and kidneys.
