Clary Sage Essential Oil
Latin name: salvia sclarea
Extraction by steam distillation using flowering tops and leaves
Properties:
Watery to medium depending on leaf content
Medium to strong earthy, fruity, floral scent that is sweet, nutty and herbaceous
Colour is light golden yellow
Uses:
Eases PMS, helps to regulate scanty periods, and eases lower back cramps
Encourages labour [so see Warnings]
Good for greasy hair and dandruff as it helps reduce excessive production of sebum
Other applications:
Used to treat nervousness, fear, depression and paranoia
Warnings:
Can exaggerate the effects of alcohol
Can generate headaches
Never use during pregnancy
