Produced by expression using the rinds of ripe and unripe fruit (which is pear-shaped and resembles a cross between a grapefruit and an orange

 Properties:

Watery viscosity
Fresh aroma of citrus, fruity and sweet, as well as warm, spicy and floral 
Colour is green to yellow/green

 Uses:

  • In treatment of depression, stress and tension
  • Allays fear and hysteria
  • Even helps to encourage self-confidence and to overcome shyness
  • Its antiseptic qualities are useful for infections of the urinary tract, as well as inflammations such as cystitis
  • Useful in cases of anorexia nervosa
  • Acne, psoriasis, eczema, cold sores, chicken pox
  • Especially effective during convalescence
  • Encourages stimulation of the liver, the stomach and the spleen

 Other applications:

Use in vapour treatment for compulsive eating disorders, post natal depression, PMS and Seasonal Affected Disorder (SAD)

Blended in a base cream for use on wounds and cuts

 Warnings:

  • Can burn sensitive skin when exposed to sunlight. Do not use within 3 hours of going out in the sun.
  • NOT to be used during pregnancy and lactation
  • Not for babies, infants or children under 12
