The Lost Tarot of Nostradamus by John Matthews & Wil Kinghan
A lesser known fact about Michel de Nostredame (the sixteenth century apothecary and seer, best known for The Prophecies published in 1555), is that a manuscript believed to be by him was discovered in 1994 in the Italian National Library in Rome, along with 80 mysterious paintings which appeared to be based heavily on the symbolism of the tarot.
John Matthews and Wil Kinghan, realising the implications of the finds, have brought them together with fresh translations, by Caitlin Matthews, of the original quatrains and produced probably one of the most important decks of our age.
