Wooden Books consist of an attractive range of pocket sized, easy to read paperback books that explore a wide range of scientific and arcane subjects.
Some of the Titles cover such things as Evolution, Sacred Geometry and Earth Grids, as well as Nature Spirits, Hedgerow Cookery and Dragons. They are presented in such a way that they are reminiscent of old libraries and ancient lost (but now regained) knowledge. They are, in fact, nothing less than mini Oracles.
Their creator, publisher John Martineau describes them as: "a mathemagical ancient wisdom series"
It all began with a harmonograph, a simple scientific instrument for drawing images created by musical harmonies. Following on from this came a fascination with the patterns and symmetry of Nature, then a wealth of information on the Liberal Arts - Geometry, Music, Cosmology, Mathematics. Today, having enlisted the talents of other writers into the Wooden Books fold, the range includes largely whimsical studies of many so-called New Age subjects such as Ancient British Rock Art, Irish Round Towers, Leys, Sacred Springs and many more.
